At Milton Keynes College we want you to achieve your full potential, and our Tutorial System is vital in helping you do so.

All full-time students under 19 years of age will have two hours per week on their timetables for tutorials. These are a combination of group and one-to-one sessions.

Group sessions provide you with the time to meet together and reflect on your progress, to plan for the future and to look at issues that will affect you in your day-to-day lives such as equal opportunities, careers, health, part-time work, etc. At one of these group sessions you’ll elect representatives to go to the Student Council and also reps to attend meetings and feed back to tutors and managers about the course.

Individual tutorials provide the time for you to meet with your personal tutor to review your progress and action plan.

Your Personal Tutor’s role is to help you throughout the course, giving you feedback and supporting your interests. They can be approached with any concern or worry and are key in advising, supporting, encouraging and where necessary chasing…in the nicest possible way! Remember, they want to see you succeed!
